Happy 4th! (Just a bit late!)

We had a wonderful 4th of July this year, except that Kevin was not able to spend as much time relaxing as he would have liked.  He worked on our bathroom from the day after my brother's wedding until today (just the finishing touches were left....Jacob and I had to move out for almost 2 weeks and we lived at my parents house).  Jacob loved all the time with Baba and Grandpa, but we were glad to move home.

Jacob and I spent the weekend at my parent's lake house and went to my Aunt Barb's for our usual Fourth cookout.  Jacob was able to hang out with all his cousins, especially Ella, who was born 1 week after Jacob.  It was so nice to have someone (cousin's wife Kathie) to commiserate with through pregnancy and have kids his age to play with at the family gatherings.  He is swimming in the deep end of the estrogen pool though, because he has only one cousin that is a boy from both sides of the family.

I also got some time to practice using my camera.  I shot some of the flowers at my parent's lake house.  I think some turned out nice.  I really enjoyed shooting the pictures.  Definitely need more practice (and some better equiptment), but hey it is a start.  Pics to follow as my computer has decided I am not allowed to post them....it is really time for a new laptop.  Microsoft Vista sucks!
